This course is designed for students who are currently in their second or third semester in the Mathematics Program. This seminar offers a general vision about the program in mathematics. It also offers information about graduate studies in mathematics and the different professions in the field. A central objective of the course is to help students improve the way they express themselves when talking about mathematics (both, at the oral level as well as the written level). The instructor will give a brief description of some topics in mathematics. Each student will select one of these topics and present a written paper about it. In addition, the student will give an oral presentation and a poster presentation.
